Oh. Oh that's pretty.

Better looking than the Mustang. I
never see
these around anymore though.

I always forget these existed

The front end is such a dramatic improvement compared to the droopy boringness that is the standard Mustang front end.
They’re quite rare though... the last time I found one was totally clapped out, the body was a mishmosh of random colored panels and the motor was totally gone.

They clean up very nicely.

3 or 4 of these have popped up for sale aroun d here, even a convertible. Sadly not in my budget at the moment.

I mentioned in another comment that I found a clapped-out one. Honestly... I’d totally rock one with various colored body panels and a bit of visual wear.

ASC McLaren Capri Convertible may be one of the more collectible convertibles... not quite the same thing as a regular production Mustang convertible.

My dad had a 79 Capri when I grew up.
Later came to appreciate the differences. Like the box flares. I like the Capri front end compared to most, only surpassed by the 85-86 Mustang mail-slot grille. 2nd being Capri, followed by other Fox Mustang variants.
I have a cunning plan for an ideal Mustang/Capri mashup of the best bits of all variants... but then I get back to wanting a Mark III Supra instead.

It’s hard to beat Mk3 Supras in terms of looks.

Yes! Front end actually could have been designed by Chevy.
